Whta the heck you can only export an existing conact list! I want to simply choose my own file and I cannot. This is an obvious option that should have been there.

I wanted to transfer GROUPS, but when imported… just contacts without being in a GROUP. Thats what I was looking for. You should not say that your app support GROUPS.
I dont understand all the complaining about this little app. It works perfectly. It created a perfect CSV file, with exactly the fields I asked for in the Prefs. Great value!
Choose destination folder - hit button - done!
This app does not work, dont spend your money. I would love to get my money back
I downloaded this app to my MBP running 10.9 wanting to export a large Adress Book database and was sorely disapointed. The softaware installed no problem, however when you run the export, nothing. It asks you where you want to keep your data, but does not export anything. Really frustrating.
Hey, it worked! It left some linespaces between contacts in Excel, but honestly I barely read the instructions so that is likely me. Much cheaper than other apps and did what I needed in 30 seconds. I bought despite the cranky comments from the developers… I teach an assertive communication course for entrepreneurs that you might want to try lol. Thanks for the app. Much appreciated.
I purchased this ap and it created a CSV file but when imported into Google, all I have is a bunch of “blank” lines. In order to see the name I have to click on each line. Definitely not worth the $1.39 I paid.
lumps all your contacts into a single line/with multiple commas and quotes. not useful or accessible for excel since it can’t read individual contact field info. glad i only wasted $1.39 but feel ripped off
It very good, works well and does what it promises. Very simple to use. Whats more?
This should be labeled a scam by Apple. CONVERTED TO CSV AND ENDED UP WITH ALL OF THE DATA IN ONE COLUMN AND TOO MANY COMMAS TO COUNT. EVEN IF YOU UNCHECK ALL OF THE FIELDS IT CAN CONVERT, IT FILLS THE COLUMN WITH COMMAS IN THAT FIELDS PLACE.
Bought v2.4.2 for Mac OS 10.9.5 Read all the directions in the guide and the online support site. Spent 20 minutes trying all possible settings. In all cases I got a “noting to export” error message - no further clues. I found a comment suggesting the destination for the converted file should be set to a folder in the User area, but you’d think the app would give an error message if that were the case. I tried setting different destination locations - nothing worked. The author tells users not to post useless reviews, but to contact him. I did. This review should be of use o anyone evaluating the liklihood that this app will work right out of the box, without waiting for help. I needed this to work right now. It should be simple. I am an experienced user - I doubt I missed anything that was documented about how to use it!
Crashes before it completes, totally useless
Didn’t work for me. Apparently too many fields in my address book and they didn’t correspond accordingly in a cvs file. Never seen so many commas in my life.
This is a waste of money. Does not work. Tried every possible combination and the program I was trying to import to said it was not a CSV file. Tried everything. DO NOT BUY
The user interface is a little too sparse for my tastes but Im sure others love it. This program did its work perfectly and I was able to use the generated CSV file to import my contacts to my flaky email provider. I wish there was more granular control over which fields are included in the export (especially for the VCF format). Id also suggest adding separate "CSV" and "VCF" buttons to the main window to make that a bit easier than chooing different modes from the pull down. I opened the CSV in Excel and everything looked good. A few of my contacts had a single "double quote" character in the notes field and that seems to have resulted in an inaccurate export where all remaining fields for that contact showed up in the notesfield and not being properly split my Excel. Im going to reach out to the developer and see if they can fix that or if its just an issue with the csv format and Excel. I still think this is a great utility.
Sceptical from the reviews, but for a buck, why not give it a try. Output my OSX 10.8 Contacts to an CSV file, which opened easily with Excel. Now I can easily see why my Contacts dont work the way I expected due to all the address import/export conversion errors accumulated over the past many years.
This application is unable to connect to my address book, making it impossible to export contacts.
I dont usually write reviews but this is a very elegant solution which should already be built in to apples software. I mean seriously, we shouldnt need third parties to develope an app to allow me to put my contacts into a spreadsheet. Seems like a pretty common, intuitive thing to want to do and it should be natively supported. But I digress. This app works perfectly and will give you a spreadsheet with all your contacts and all associated information in it from your iPhone/Address Book app on your Macbook. Couldnt be happier with it.
