i should not have bought this app. Despite the fact, it would be easy to make a simple converter app function correctly, this one just crashed every single time i used it. So in the end, i never had any CSV and paid a product which is not functionning… I am very disappointed and the programmer should be ashamed.

Got me quite confused on how to handle it. Would have expected that I could control which contacts to extport. Instead you have to make a Group in your Address Book, open this Tool, change the group in the settings and then finally hit the button. (Oh, and it wont reconize a new Group until you restart the App). Do not use this to export to GMail!

Tried numerous settings, but no generated file has been accepted by Google+.

I wanted to use the vcard (vcf) export function mainly. It works fine, but the resulting vcf files have filenames like person0.vcf, person1.vcf, etc. This makes it really difficult to reuse the resulting files. This .csv export function worked fine even with German char set with UTF-16 setting.

I used it to export some groups from my Apple Address Book. It works!

I just downloaded the app onto 3 different computers and it crashes on all three. Id appreciate either an update that works or my money back please.

Disappointed ++, multiple errors on my contact list in the field, transposed ph numbers into the notes are and thus can use then on andriodm if I wanted to spend two hours cleaning up my contacts I should have entered them in manually would ahve be less stress, still a beta version Shame on apple for not playing well with others

MacOS10.6.7 worked fine. the exported csv is a bit sloppy (ie: it doesnt make nice tables when opened in excel) but functionally it works. definitely worth the $0.99

This file does not work when exporting CSV files, at least not well for gmail. BUT it does work for vcards! So it is a 4 star app, i wrote a ngative review because of my first impression, i will delete if it shows up. It does work, worth 99 cents, very useful. Thanks

This does exactly what it says itll do, and has some nice extended options. One thing Id like to see is a way to include the group names as a field in the CSV when exporting all groups into one file.

I tried to covert my address book to csv format but hotmail would not take it. Error was file empty or not a csv file. I opened the file in excel and all the imformation was there. Do not recomment this app.

The instruction to set the "mode" to VCF is confusing given the mode menu only has a vCard and CSV mode - but once set to vCard mode it did export in a fomat that GMail contacts could understand. So, finally a manual way to sync from OSX to GMail.

Does exactly what I needed to do, export address book to a CSV all for .99 cents. WoW!

It didnt work like it was supposed to. I didnt get how to import a list. Theres no options on the program, or the features up top. I tried a few things, but just couldnt get it going. I suppose I am falling into the category of people which the message at the top of the app warns agains: I havent read the instruction manual to trouble-shoot the program. Fine. But what kind of a program needs to have that kind of a message up top? It should just work right away, without wasting my time. Apparently others have figured out how this works - kudos to them. But for me, it was a waste of 99 precious pennies and about 90 precious minutes.

One star is too many. There are 181 contacts in my Contacts. AB2CSV says there is nothing to export.

I went from Address Book 6 to Excel for Mac 2011 in seconds. The reviews are better instructions than the owners manual.

Wouldnt have spent the $0.99. Sloppy export, not really useable result. Ended up doing the job manually.

Works very well, nice and simple, fair price to bypass annoying apple restrictions.

Would have saved myself .99. Exporting my entire address book is not helpful at all for what I was trying to do.
